About Chef Grant MacPherson:
Chef Grant MacPherson is a world-renowned executive chef. A native of Scotland, Chef Grant MacPherson has been working on five continents for the last 30 years, cooking for a multitude of top celebrities in the world of business, entertainment and politics, including Margaret Thatcher, George H. W. Bush, Princess Diana, Nelson Mandela, Robert Mondavi, Eric Clapton, Morgan Freeman, Wolfgang Puck and Julia Roberts.
Chef Grant has worked in prestigious hotels such as The Four Seasons, The Regent, The Ritz-Carlton, Malaysia's Datai Hotel and the "grand old lady of Singapore," The Raffles Hotel, before being recruited by Las Vegas casino tycoon, Steve Wynn, in 1998 to head culinary operations at the new 3,000-room Bellagio Resort and Casino.
As an Executive in charge of the hotel's opening, he oversaw the operations of 18 restaurants and was responsible for over 800 culinary employees. Strong from having successfully lead this adventure, Steve Wynn reiterated his confidence in Grant and hired him as Corporate chef to open Wynn Macau and Wynn Las Vegas.
After 10 years in the Steve Wynn organization, and a lifelong career in the hospitality industry, Chef Grant shifted his focus to embark on a boutique hotel remodel. To this effect, he served as culinary director at The Sandy Lane Hotel in Barbados, where he transformed the food and beverage program in to a world-class operation.
Chef Grant currently leads several world-class projects simultaneously in the United States (His consulting company Scotch Myst, Commercial Corporate Chef for the Viking Range Corporation, Consulting Chef for American Pistachio Growers, among others) and internationally (The Burswood Casino in Perth, Australia).
His very first cookbook, "In The Viking Kitchen with Chef Grant MacPherson," was released in May 2011.
