Chef Dario Torres joined the CVI in 2015 after nearly ten years navigating the culinary landscape in his home country of Puerto Rico. Chef Dario is the talent behind the incredible breads served at the CVI, and has pursued bread-baking training in Canada and at Johnson & Wales University. As a member of the CVI culinary team, he has collaborated with a global cast of world class guest chefs and was instrumental in executing menus for the James Beard Foundation tour, Bocuse D’Or fundraiser, Trotter Dinner fundraiser, and also for Culinary Institute of America President L. Timothy Ryan. In addition to his kitchen job, he is also head beekeeper of the CVI’s 48 honeybee hives. Dario earned his degree in culinary arts from IBC Institute at Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.
