Elizabeth Studer’s path to CVI Wine Steward started nearly 20 years ago as a server earning her way through music school. Liz quickly added bartending to her repertoire and began accumulating a wealth of knowledge about fine wines and cocktails. It was during her time in Boston that she fell in love with Old World wines and honed her palate for the finer things, working alongside several James Beard-nominated chefs. Her bartending experiences provided the freedom to explore and experiment with unique craft cocktails ─ the perfect precursor to the one of a kind vegetable-inspired offerings she concocts for CVI events. She curates the wine program at CVI, focusing on producers that exhibit dedication to sustainability, quality, and respect for the environment. In March of 2017, she passed the Level 1 exam with the Court of Master Sommeliers and is currently studying for the Certified Sommelier exam. A native of Bellevue, Ohio, Ms. Studer holds music degrees from The Ohio State University and the Longy School of Music. As a classically trained flutist, she performs locally with the Firelands Symphony Orchestra. She has a son, Tiberius, and a daughter, Sophia.
